Getting Here
Getting to Middletown
- By Air
- Bradley International Airport (BDL), near Hartford, is the closest airport to Middletown and is about a 40–45 minute drive away. Depending on your departure city, you may also find convenient flights into Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN), New York City airports (JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark), or Boston Logan Airport (BOS).
- By Train
- Amtrak and Metro-North provide service to nearby stations in New Haven, Hartford, and Meriden. If you’re traveling through New York or Boston, taking the train to Connecticut can be a convenient option.
- Once you’re nearby
- Rental Car: Available at all major airports and recommended if you’d like to explore the area during your stay.
Uber/Lyft: Readily available from airports and train stations and often the easiest option for guests not renting a car.
Our Recommendation: Fly into Bradley International Airport (BDL) and either rent a car or take an Uber/Lyft directly to Middletown.

Make a Weekend of It
If you’re traveling a long way, Connecticut makes a great jumping-off point for a longer Northeast getaway.

A City Weekend
Fly in or out of New York or Boston and add a few days before or after the wedding. Catch a Broadway matinee, visit a museum, or explore neighborhoods and restaurants that make both cities worth the trip on their own. Ask Clayton and Carly for their recommendations!

Check Out Connecticut
Head south to New Haven for a taste of the world-famous pizza you’ve probably never heard of (sorry Clayton): Sally’s, Pepe’s, and Modern are a local obsession worth a day trip. While you’re there, stroll through Yale’s campus.
Or continue east to Mystic for a walk through one of New England’s most charming coastal towns, and a stop at the original Mystic Pizza. - III
Explore New England
New England is full of great detours. Spend a few days in Cape Cod for beaches and seafood shacks, west to the Berkshires for charming towns and scenic drives, or north to Portland, Maine for its renowned food scene. If you’re feeling more ambitious, continue north to Acadia National Park for some of the most beautiful scenery in the Northeast. Acadia is one of Clayton and Carly’s favorite places, and a destination they’d enthusiastically recommend if you’re looking to extend your trip.
Questions?
- Are kids welcome?
- This is a 21+ celebration. We love your little ones, but kindly ask that this be an adults-only evening.
- What’s the dress code?
- Please dress in garden formal attire. All wedding events will be held outdoors and often on grass lawns, so we recommend block heels, wedges, or other footwear that will be comfortable on uneven ground.
- Will alcohol be served?
- Yes! We’ll have cocktails and an open bar available during cocktail hour and throughout the evening. Please drink responsibly and plan ahead for transportation so you can enjoy the night and get home safely. Rideshares and taxis are readily available in the Middletown area.
Wilson Will Be There
A portrait of Wilson,
coming soon.
Ring bearer, welcome committee, most-photographed guest.
He’ll be on his best behavior. Mostly.
